In Artemis plant colours the main colour is accompanied by hundreds of supportive colours, coming from the complementary zone. The relationship of the plant essence to particular cosmic forces and minerals is retained by the colour and the pigment on the essential level, and this is something with which human beings can interact.

The coming into being of the colours and the qualitative distinctiveness of the colour shades become an object of experience, in such a way that - as Goethe says - a form of painting becomes possible where the sensuous and the ethical are combined. This means that the different colour qualities are perceived through the eye, and then have their effect on the feelings.
